The main understanding we have of filters is that it is different sorting methods that we use for a computer when searching things up

It can apply to real life as well when making a decision we can automically cancel the options that don’t fit in our filter

For example when thinking of a company to work for we can cancel all the companies that don't treat their employees fair. This mental model can also apply to investing as well
