Some girls in a classroom had trouble with a math problem. Other children began to try to show the girls where they had gone wrong, but without success.
"To rescue a man lost in the woods, you must get to where he is."
The other children could not get to where these girls were, could not see how they had arrived at their answer, and hence could not help them. Unless the teacher came in and deconstructed their method there was no progress.
