How to be a lot more interesting

• Humor: It takes a lot of practice until you can figure out the natural timing and flow of a joke. Practice makes perfect.
• Interest comes from having an interesting life. You can be interesting by telling stories  or by simply being quick to bring up an interesting fact....

The best way to have friends is to interact with the same person regularly.

Look for activities where the same core people show up. Keep showing up yourself. 

Independent mindedness is largely inborn, but you can still magnify it in yourself. 

Or at least, prevent yourself from diminishing it.
