This is the ability to understand & manage your behaviour & reactions to what is going on around you, & to your feelings. It enables you to regulate strong emotions.It can be useful in the workplace, to ensure you are measured in your reactions & to consider their impact.

Self Regulation

By considering these 3 elements of Self, you can influence the type of leader you are, your impact on others, on their motivation & morale. How you behave & how you come across, impact how psychologically safe the environment feels for your people to speak up, be themselves, & perform at work.

Self 

-Internal self awareness: having an understanding of your own beliefs, thoughts, actions & impact on others -External self awareness: understanding how others view you Being self aware, & aware of how others see you, allows you to better understand others, & to show empathy with those you work with.

Self Awareness 

This is the activity of thinking about your feelings or behaviours, & the reasons behind them. It's important to understand the root cause of why you feel the way you do.

Self Reflection
