What is Search Intent?

Search intent, also known as “user search intent” or “keyword search intent“, refers to the underlying goal or purpose behind a person’s search query on Google, Bing, or any other search engine. When you type something into that little search box, you’re not just randomly mashing keys – you have a specific objective in mind, even if you don’t realise it consciously.
