The Journal of Personality and Psychology studied the effect having too much charisma. The results ended up showing that organizations must choose applicants with a mid-range level of charism instead of the extremely charismatic ones.
This is due to their finding that highly charismatic leaders are less effective due to their lack of operational behavior.
