To always have the need to right is to be engulfed by our ego. Anyone can survive a bad idea, stupid mistake or dumb decision as long as we don't cling to the need to be right every time. Every inspiration or idea that comes to your mind might not be right.

We can only learn from our observations and hopefully be a little less wrong.
The need to be right is part of our culture. Often, we don't just want to be right, we want to be "more right" than someone else. The need to be "more right" is mostly based on fear, uncertainty, our desire to be socially connected, and misplaced intellectualism.
Contradicting others does not build good relations, because as soon as people hear contradicting information that is proving them wrong, their logical instincts get shut down and they slide into a fight-or-flight response.
