Your emotions are messengers. They give you important information about our needs or actions we can take.They’re a valuable source of intelligence and insight.

When your feelings are especially strong, as they often are in the workplace, you can operate from old, outdated stories and beliefs that warp your ability to see the situation clearly.

While it’s true that you can’t help how you feel and that your emotional experiences are 100% valid, you can control how you choose to respond.

Feel grounded basically means two things:

  1. Feeling connected with your body/ and or the earth
  2. Being fully in the present

It means being in the moment and just experiencing the world as it is rather than through memories or a filter. You are living your life with intent and purpose rather than just passively watching your life go by. 

Being grounded will also help you to:

  1. Quiet and clear your mind
  2. Calm and balance your emotions
  3. Recharge your energy

The Root Chakra, also known as Muladhara , (derived from two Sanskrit words, Mula  meaning “root” and adhara, meaning “support” or “base”), is located at the base of your spine and creates the foundation for all the chakras that lie above it.  

It represents whatever it is in our lives that make us feel grounded . These needs can be different for each individual person, but usually include our basic physical necessities and also extends to our emotional needs of feeling safe & connected.
