Of course not, Goals are good for setting a direction. People endeavour to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines but some people didn't make it on time.

Yes, You heard it right! There are some problems with goals<ul><li>Achieving a goal is only a momentary change.</li></ul>Achieving a goal only changes your life for the moment. It is always better to build a habit of cleaning your room daily instead of hoping for another burst of motivation to do it.<ul><li>Winners and losers have the same goals.</li></ul>Yes, winners and losers have the same goal but the difference between them is how they do it (System). Losing something is not bad until you make it a habit, right? So focus on the system will improve you as well as the chances of winning after the goal.

We generally set goals when in high emotion, for eg getting motivated then deciding to run 5km on the first day of exercise or completing an entire week syllabus on Sunday, chances are you will fail your goal and even if somehow you achieve your goal you will lose your motivation to continue for next day or goal.
