... can change the way how we perceive the world and how we live our lifes. One new observation, one new conversation or one new piece of wisdom.
As long as we keep our mind open for constructive criticism and questioning the taken granted, we can continue growing.
How could questioning your perception of the world help you continuing growing?
We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.
— Lloyd Alexander
Pieces of condensed wisdom that can change someones perception of the world. (I call them growth-steroids ;)
We are gifted. We can share, discuss, (ex)change perceptions, opinions, convictions with total strangers from other parts of the world.
Diversity means wealth for innovation, as different think-tanks can be geniusly recombined.
Thanks to Deepstash to give us a platform to connect this diversity symbiotically.
This stash is for sharing mindbreaking and preception-bending quotes and some thoughts my mind throw at me like a wrecking ball from time to time.
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
— Maya Angelou
Are our (automated) prejudices legit?
Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced.
— James Baldwin
Why does ignorance outweigh attention sometimes? How can you reflect your subconscious perception filters? In situations of realisation? In what-if situations? Could regular mindfulness like self-reflection help you? Are some of us ignorant, because we just don't know how and where to start?
You get what you deserve. Instead of being a good person today, you choose instead to become one tomorrow.
— Markus Aurelius
But why do we tend to push change away? Isn't the quote a little too monocausal? Has everyone equal external circumstances for internal changes? Are you just the product of this correlation?
Lifelong learning is like having three wishes and using them to have more.
Does never ending learning aim for growth beyond your own reality? When learning is expanding the horizon of your current reality, what is holding you back then? Can you do something about it? Are you the one in control? What is in and what can be under your control?
The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts.
— Markus Aurelius
Can you influence your thoughts? What triggers them intern-/externally? Can you contol your exposure to these triggers? Can others control their exposure to their triggers? Is your or their emotional state internal controlled or an external triggered state? How does this question influence your empathy for them and for yourself?
Now to the main question – Can you change your perception?
Science says Yes! End of story.
Well if it was that easy, your world would look already different after reading the sentence before, right? But you are not some logical calculating system, where 1 + 1 = 2 always.
You are human. In your life, perception gives you situations, where one plus one equals zero. Situations that doesn't make any sense.
When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us.
— Hellen Keller
So at the end changing your perception is coming down to – Are you willing what it takes?
Please excuse possibly occurring spelling/grammar mistayxs, as non-native they are like John Cena — You can't see me. Consider this - What would this kind of criticism tell about yourself, when you are using a platform for non-professional created content in another language?
Thanks for your understanding.
