A great way to stop talking to yourself in a negative way is to imagine you are talking to your best friend.

If your best friend told you about something they are worried about, such as graduating and not knowing what do in life, you probably wouldn’t say “Yeah, life is basically over”, but instead you would try to encourage them. This is a great way to talk to yourself as well.
