A habit is formed when you do things in a particular way, over and over again, for a period of time.
We need habits because they make life easier.
Habits require little-to-no effort to execute once they have been cemented in our brains.
Your habits can either help you succeed or contribute to your failure.
Habits are either empowering or disempowering.
For example: Running late to meetings is a habit but obviously, not an empowering one since it can get you fired. But always going to meetings early will serve you a great deal.
Most people start working under someone else (pursuing a career), while very few venture into a vocation.
Whatever path you're on, growth is the only thing sure to guarantee speedy progress.
When intentional about growth, you will gather knowledge and experience quickly, propelling you to heights.
Successful people, whether working for somebody else or themselves, do whatever they do to the best of their ability – as if the boss watches them every minute of every day.
Vision brings meaning to your actions.
Unfortunately, for far too many people, their motivation is their bills. No higher purpose, no vision, nothing. And that's why it's easy to get distracted in the day.
Success is all about meeting set targets, and that means you need a target you're pursuing to succeed.
It's like getting into your car with no destination in mind. You'd waste gas without getting anywhere or accomplishing anything.
Pause for a moment to think about your life and what you'd like to accomplish.
For example: Create a vision that appeals to you if you want to discover romantic relationships.
No matter how smart a person is, they are bound to make mistakes.
Circumstances can tempt them to give up. All these are the inevitables of life.
What keeps a person going in the face of challenge is not smartness nor mental toughness, but a strong WHY.
Find your WHY 7 times.
The reason seven such a magical number is still a mystery, but what's certain is that the first WHY you give for any desire comes out of your head.
As you approach and get to number seven, the WHY you begin to give will come right from your heart, and that's your true WHY.
There's a hero in you as much as a villain in there, but the one you concentrate most on is the one that wins.
Two keys you can use to keep the villain at bay:
There are things in life that you'd suck at, and that's not a bad thing.
We talk to ourselves more than we communicate with anyone, including our spouses.
Hence we must take self-talk seriously.
Your self-talk is a total of the story you've been telling yourself over time and have come to believe.
So, create a positive story for yourself!
