Death—The Thief of All Lives

Yet, shadowed in the light,

The Mother of Nature—Death

Why do you torment us?

Why do you steal joy from our grasp,

Taking away the ones we hold dear?

Why do you come like a thief in the night,

Ripping life from its root,

Becoming a source of fear for mankind?

Why do you deprive humans happiness, Joy and Love?

Why won't you allow us to live forever with our friends and families?

Why do you act like thief and steal this Precious life-our greatest

Why must you sow despair?

Why do you curse us so?

Perpetual motion—life, a gift to all living beings; death, a curse to all.

A cruel joke played by nature herself?

Are we not but clowns on a stage,

Puppets bound to perform for unseen gods to mock?

Oh, how laughable, this fate we endure

The fragile strings of life held by a hand

That will one day sever them all.

This is the destiny of mankind:

The pathetic, inevitable fate of all living beings.
