Once you master patience that will be a life-changer, at the same time failure to control it would turn out to be tragic. Not everyone has the ability to be patient at every level, nor any institution teaches it. We don’t get to learn how to master patience in the form of education, that course is offered and reserved by spiritual gurus by way of meditation. Patience is the basic quality of every living being, only the level of patience differs depending on the circumstance. If given a price worth waiting, won’t everyone demonstrate patience? Like investing in mutual funds with high returns. Imagine, if we invest $10 today after 10months we will get $10000 dollars in return. Well practically that must not be possible, but still, under such circumstances, anybody would be patient. If given reasonable value patience is an easily tamed puppy. Monkey to humans didn’t happen in one day, it took millions of years. From a tiny seed to a 15-20 feet tall oak tree it takes 10-15 years. These are subconscious patience where the end result was not pre-planned. To be precise; natural. So that is the problem, when we preplan the end result and start imagining about it we become impatient. For example, the story of the duck which lays a golden egg every day, the owner became greedy, so he killed the bird imagining its stomach contained many more eggs and the end result was a tragedy. We must give time for nature to take its course, some things should happen naturally. We cannot force something to happen just because we feel excited about it. A single golden egg every day is better than a one time barbecue. We live in a world where people are willing to pay anything for fast results. For them, it’s the speed of the process that matters not the quality of the creation. This has changed us psychologically, the fast-paced lifestyle has influenced our behavior patterns. In a superstitious country if the astrologer predicts it’s lucky for the child if he/she’s born on 8th July, 5:40 PM, then mothers are willing to cut open the stomach and take the child out before the 10th month, which later may lead to severe health problems from which the fortune teller cannot save them. Another set of people wait outside the apple store for hours in a long queue to get their hands on the brand-new iPhone, which will cost them more than the previous one but they use it to carry out the same activities. There are many other occasions where people demonstrate an incredible level of impatience &amp; patience by calculating an imaginary end result, collectively all these small instances make a huge impact in the long run. The world calls it with different names; desperation, anxiety, depression, stress, unnecessary pressure. But the root cause to all this is someone who failed to keep his calm or been calm for too long. Being patient for a long time over something can make you a patient (which requires treatment) for a very long time. Examples are people who are in love and fell into a world of illusion, most of the time they live in an imaginary world with their lover and fail to see the reality. You need to build a relationship like building a castle out of playing cards, you need to be so patient and careful in while placing each card on top of the other, because at any moment your own breath could bring that castle down. We are aware of the 7 laws of nature, and patience is not one among them, but without a doubt, patience is the functioning tool for all laws, nature is the best teacher of patience; watch a plant grow. A tiny seed can give us shelter, food, build us houses, and much more. Depending on the utility of the end product the seed takes time to grow, we cannot force it. We need to patiently water it and watch it flourish. Likewise, each and everything around us took great time to grow, imagine if nature was an arrogant impatient creature, volcanoes lose their temper and burst out, the earth lost its patience and started spinning at 200kms per minute, clouds had no patience and rained continuously. Yes, all these are just fantasies that will never happen. Not because the volcanoes, earth, and clouds have a brain and mastered patience through meditation, it’s because there is a calculated balance for everything thing which is happening in nature, which allows it to function perfectly based on its needs and requirements. Scientists have learned many facts from nature, let’s learn patience from it. We don’t require patience in everything we do. It’s important to identify what is valuable which requires patience and our attention. It’s more important that we understand which seed grows mangoes and which grows spikes. In the modern world where we are aiming the internet to function at the speed of human thinking, mastering patience will not make sense to most, but no matter how far we have reached in terms of development &amp; technology, we are still the same old monkeys jumping from one tree to another, shifting from iPhone 11 to 11+. What we gain? more distress &amp; new problems, snap out of that imaginary world. Patience is having to control your thoughts by judging the importance of the objective needs and subjective desires, respecting your efforts and time. It can do wonders for you.
