8.2.0 - Overview

8.2.0 - Overview

The little details make any product we use feel... whole. In this evolution of Deepstash we focused on a few details:

  • The main actions give feedback in the form of small vibrations and sounds (called haptics).
  • We can add our bio directly from the profile page.
  • Stashes now have descriptions and cover images.
  • The team has been stomping some bugs with the recently released widgets and the new, slick, idea creation flow.
  • There are changes that addess some major performance ofenders.
  • Notification also received another look with a few small improvements.

Haptics - vibrations and sounds

Haptics - vibrations and sounds

Might seem a small thing, a detail, but as Mr. Walt Disney himself once said: "There is no magic in magic, it's all in the details.".

To add just a bit of magic to our daily use of Deepstash a few of the main actions we do (liking, stashing, sharing, publishing, reaching your daily goal, taping on an idea in the feed) will give a bit of feedback: a small vibration, a sound or both.

These little interactions are called haptics. And they do seem to add a bit of... magic. If it's not for you - just head over to Settings > App settings and from there you can turn them off and on.

Add your bio

Add your bio

Our profiles tell the rest of the community a bit about ourselves and the litte bio is probably the best way to introduce yourself, what #topics you like and if there are any @stashers that inspire you.

To make it easier to do this - on your own profile, if you haven't added a bio yet, you'll see a little text that you can tap on to do so.

Whenever you discover an idea that you like it's always good to check who added it, as ideas are created by stashers like you and me and you might have just discovered a future friend.

Add context to your stashes

Add context to your stashes

Stashes are for their authors more than a pile of ideas, the way we organize our ideas has a rime and reason to us. Until this release the only way we could show what the stash was about was with a name and an emoji.

You can now add a short description and a cover image to your stashes, giving us the ability to add just a bit more context to our stashes of ideas.
