There are many companies out there that take values as an afterthought. Patrick Lencioni, a business management expert, calls out a value many companies use -- "Be Honest" -- as the minimum behavioral and social standard that is required of any employee.
Companies that don't "value" values, don't vary much from each other and they never really become distinguished enough to be compared to their competitors.
