It can be hard to figure why a formerly fun job turns dull. Maybe your role no longer excites you, maybe you’ve outgrown it, or your responsibilities have changed and now fail to bring you joy.
Packing up and leaving may feel like the obvious option, but it’s not the only option. If you don’t particularly like your organization or your manager, then yes, you should probably follow your gut. On the other hand, if you’ve found an organization that values you and your contributions, provides you with opportunities to learn and grow, and has a culture in which you can thrive, then wait.
