I can also adjust the volume of my Airpods using the digital crown while listening to music on the train. Oh yeah and I can ping my phone with one tap if I loose it at home, a feature I use more often than I like to admit ;) Siri is great too. Quickly create reminders, control my lights and get the temperature before leaving home.

I wear my Apple Watch daily and can’t imagine a day without it! Why? Apple advertise the more exciting features, such as being able to measure blood oxygen levels or altitude during a mountain hike. Very impressive but these are not features most use regularly. So instead here are my top 5 underrated Apple Watch features that I use daily. Available on all current Apple Watch models, these are the features that make the Apple Watch worth having for me and are the features I am sure you will enjoy having too!

Why You Should Buy An Apple Watch ⌚️

Support for Apple Pay will vary from country to country. Living in London, I use Apple Pay multiple times every day. To tap in and pay for public transport, buy my morning coffee, then later in the evening for groceries. All only requiring a simple tap with the wrist to pay. Easy!

Maps too is great on the Apple Watch. Let’s say I have an email with an address that I need to get to, I open it up on my iPhone, then choose my route and start directions. This then automatically carries over to my apple watch for turn by turn directions. Perfect when walking or biking not having to take your phone out of your pocket, instead just look at your wrist to see which turn to take next.

Lastly, activity rings. As a very objective oriented person, I find it so satisfying to complete these rings. Essentially it is 3 rings, for stand, exercise and move, which gradually fill up throughout the day ensuring I get at least moderate levels of exercise each day!

Receiving notifications right on my Apple Watch is fantastic. Allowing me to see my important notifications without having to reach for my phone. Now I did say important notifications, this is key. If you let all notifications come in to your watch it may get a bit much. Instead, go through your settings and manually select which notifications you want coming in. For example I only allow calls and messaging apps. That way I know when my watch goes off, it is important!
