I came across this idea while reading Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Steve always pushed his team to crush the deadlines even if they thought it was impossible. He always said, "Don't worry, you will do it". Which just reflects the thought that being optimistic brings an aura of positivity with itself which drives us even more further. So we should be Optimistic even if the odds are something else.
