Influencing is a difficult and intelligent art. While the book gives ample examples and techniques to learn how to influence, it also depicts the subtle awareness about the 'intent' behind the act of influence. It is a great intellectual read.

My perspective after reading the book

A well-known principle of human behavior says that when we ask someone to do us a favor we will be more successful if we provide a reason. People simply like to have reasons for what they do.
