The only thing you can control is your reaction. Not your mind. You can't control your thoughts, perhaps you might think I can control it by saying "no" to my thoughts, but it will just build resistance to you. If you just don't react to your thoughts and let it be, then it will not exist into the reality.
For example, if you think of eating that apple on the table, if you just don't eat the apple, the apple will not be eaten. It is that simple. Find a way to realize reaction is important.
