Money doesn't always motivate

Two factors contribute to a lack of motivation.

In a 'zero-based' budget, where we are putting every dollar to work for us, we have to put aside some 'fun money', a budget line for our fun activities, like a fancy cappuccino or the new shoes we desire.

Fun Money is not an excuse to be wasteful but a way to stick to your budget.

Anything important in our lives is emotional. Our relationships are emotional. So our money is emotional.

The problem is when we think money is all about math. We think questions like, "Should I buy a house?, or "Should I negotiate a higher salary?" is purely mathematical.
