Before going to class, get a hold of some old papers or practice problems You're going to get most of these questions wrong and it's OK. That's actually a good thing because you benefit from the Hypercorrection effect: "When you thought you knew the answer, but getting it wrong actually makes it stick better"

Before class - 1). Pre-test

If you're reading a book, watching a video, after every section stop and try to recite in your own words what you just learned. Tip: Note the topics you find more difficult to remember

Before class - 2). Stop and recite

During class, you can turn each slide/material into a questionFor topics: "What is" questions (What is addiction?)For processes: "How" questions (How is ATP made?)For concepts: "Why" questions (Why the human body is so complicated?)

During class - 3). In class questions

This is the best time to revise the questions you have written during classIt doesn't need to take too much time because you are not peeking at your notes, you're trying to recall straight from your memory.

After class - 4). Immediate review

Grab a blank piece of paper, pick a topic and proceed to brain dump everything you know about that topicYou have to link the idea to something that's already on the page

After class - 5). Mind maps

Make a study group or just simply teach out loud to yourself the concepts.<ul><li>Pretend you're teaching to a child - forces you to use simple words</li><li>Pretend you're teaching to someone out of your field - forces you to not use jargon or abbreviations</li><li>Pretend you're teaching to someone very nosy - forces you to explain why</li></ul>

After class - 6). Teaching/Feynman Technique

Great for revising and for spaced repetitionWrite a question on the front and the answer on the backTip: use digital flashcards like the apps Anki or REMnote

Memorization - 7). Flashcards

Useful for processes and problem-based classes like mathUse mnemonics to help you with your enumeration. Use acronyms, associations, stories etc.

12 ways to Active Recall in 12 minutes

Make a list of all the things that stress you out or give you anxiety and don't hold backWhile doing this, be honest and don't filter yourselfBenefits:<ul><li>It will help you become more aware of why you feel stressed </li><li>It can help you release your thoughts from your mind as you write them down </li></ul>Additional: highlight the things that are within your control and out of your control

Exercise #1: braindump

Ask yourself honestly what beliefs, mindsets or habits might be contributing to your stress and anxiety Make a to do list or simply write your thoughts, it's up to you. You have to investigate your mindIs it your perfectionism? Are you trying to people please? Do you feel like you have to prove yourself?As you get an answer, ask yourself whyAt the end, ask yourself what you truly want in the first place

Exercise #2: Investigate the beliefs, mindsets or habits

You can draw a circle: Inside the circle there are the things within your control, and outside, the things that are outside of your controlThis will help you understand if you are wasting your energy and thinking on the things you can do nothing aboutAlso this will remind yourself to focus more on what you can control "Energy goes where attention flows"

Exercise #3: What's within your control vs. outside your control

Ask yourself what does peace look like to youTry to describe it, visualize it and imagining it You can draw it, create a vision board or simply write it down

Exercise #4: Visualize peace

Ask yourself these questions:<ul><li>What is peaceful about today?</li><li>What is peaceful about your space?</li><li>What is peaceful about what's outside your window?</li><li>What is peaceful about the sounds you hear?</li><li>What is peaceful about your relationships?</li><li>What is peaceful about you?</li></ul>The more you pay attention to things the more you'll feel them

On web and desktop app: click the "Create Playlist" in the top left corner, right up your liked songs. On mobile: Go to your library and simply click the + bottom in the top right corner.

The Basics: How To Create a Playlist

Generally, a good playlist has a concept, a theme or a specific vibe.Here are some examples:<ul><li>Think about a specific genre or mood (kpop songs, happy songs, sad vibes)</li><li>Think about a vibe or a POV (main character songs, vibing alone in your room, villain songs)</li><li>Think about a personal feeling or story. You can express your own feelings or experiences through playlists</li></ul>Keep in mind that this process is personal and there is no right way to do it, everything is good if you like it.

The Playlist Concept

Choosing a title for your playlist is up to you. You can keep it simple: "Happy songs", "songs for your birthday"Or you can spice things up: "good vibes", "life's a movie", "heavy dreaming"Spend some time thinking about a good and aesthetic title that fits your concept.

<ul><li>The process does not have to be followed in order, you can search for photos before thinking about a concept, or you can have a title before anything else, or you can have an idea just by listening a song.</li><li>Inspiration can come from everything, always be open</li><li>No playlist is wrong. <ul><li>On Pinterest, search for: "aesthetic photos/icons/pics" or search for your concept aesthetic</li><li>If you find something that you like, open the photo and scroll down to find similar photos. </li><li>Search for Pinterest boards that fit your concept. If you need some black photos you can search for black aesthetic</li><li>If you want, you can add filters to the photos with Instagram or other apps.  </li></ul>

<ul><li>Quickly add the first songs that pop into your mind thinking about the concept</li><li>Search for similar playlists to find songs inspiration</li><li>Use the "Enhance" feature on Spotify </li><li>Playlists don't have to be quickly completed. It reduces stress, improves brain function, lowers blood pressure and it improves your immune system.

Water, like sleep, is one of the essentials for our body. Drinking water improves your brain function, bodily functions, energy levels and mood. BODY #4 Move Your Body Every Day 

Sit down and journal out all your worries and anxieties. You can journal every day, every week etc., it's up to you Don't judge or filter yourself, Just let it all flow out authentically and write until you have nothing left to say.It's always better to face your fears and emotions, than to avoid them.

MIND #1 Journal Out Your Emotions and Thoughts 📝

There's a balance between staying informed and not overdoing your media consumption, not letting those external stories affect your inner mental world.Stay informed, do what you can, and then let the rest go.Putting a time limit on social media apps can also really help.It's also good to avoid screen time at least one hour before bed. 📵

MIND #2 Limit Mental Clutter

Mindset habits are:<ol><li> The thoughts you think </li><li>The stories you tell yourself</li><li>The lens through which you view life. </li></ol>

What is a Mindset?

"If achievement is the definition measure of productivity, then what is the defining measure of achievement?Why is achievement valuable?"

Results and work are important, but also surface level fun is important as well. Sometimes it's difficult to know why achievement is important to us, so maybe at times we should just have fun. Yes, sometimes need to sit down and get the work done but what is ife if not for random little magical moments?

#1 Choosing Fun

Example: You may fell pressured to listen to podcasts any time you are driving or cooking as if listening to music instead would just be a waste of time.You should listen to podcasts when you want to, not because you fell like you have to. Listening to music can be as productive as listening to podcasts. REST AND FUN ARE PRODUCTIVE.So, have fun. Don't always think about being productive, it will overwhelm you. Know that rest and fun are also productive .

<ul><li>Set an intention to make everything you do this week more FUN</li><li>Replace a "productive" activity with something restful and enjoyable</li></ul>

#1 How to Apply This Habit

This means that you give yourself permission to stop resisting the way that things are. For example, you can accept the fact that you're running late for a metting knowing that stressing out about it will not change anything. Or you can accept that you're a human being who makes mustakes and not punish yourself for getting distracted.

#2 Acceptance/ Non-attachment

<ul><li>Ask - What are you beating yourself up about? What is your mind dwelling on?</li><li>Use journaling to re-direct your thoughts & give yourself permission to move forward. </li></ul>

Constructive criticism can be one of the best ways to grow out of that little bubble that you have for yourself. Feedback is important.
