Don’t Buy the Newest PhoneSo, there comes a day when everyone’s phone dies. This is very sad because you lose your contacts, you lose your pictures and so on and so forth. What my wife and I have been doing is buying refurbished phones or phones that are a few generations older. A cheaper phone option you can look into is a google pixel. We’ve had these for the last few years and the battery lasts a while and the phone is good quality. If you constantly buy the newest iPhone or Samsung, you’re spending anywhere from $500-$800 every year. Getting refurbished can save you a lot of money on your phone as well. Another thing to cut your phone expenses is to decide if you actually need the unlimited plan you’re on. That can save you around $50 a month.&nbsp;2.) Cheaper Cable??&nbsp;We don’t have cable but if you do have cable or you want it, you could look into satellite antennas. These can cost between $20 and $50 overall cost and then you get tons of free channels like local news and sports. You won’t be able to access HBO and ABC or things like that but for the most part now, you can just get the apps for those on your tv. If you don’t need cable, just stick to Netflix or Amazon Prime.&nbsp;3.) Sell Things OnlineI know I talk about decluttering a lot but you can also sell things too. You can use Facebook marketplace or Craigslist to sell things around your house that you don’t need or use anymore but that are still worth a decent amount of money, for example, a couch you bought but don’t like, sell it for a few $$. Make sure when you’re going through the stores that you’re not just buying more stuff to sell though because you’ll forget to sell it and then it sits in your closet where you’ll eventually donate it. Speaking from experience…&nbsp;4.) Used Appliances&nbsp;When we first got married and moved into our first rental property, we had no money but we had to completely furnish our apartment, including appliances. I found a shop near us that does second-hand furniture. I also found a place that sells refurbished or dented appliances so the dishwasher in that apartment was roughly $500 and we spent $200 on it because it had a small dent. I did the same with our refrigerator, it was originally $1,000 and we spent $300 because it was missing a shelf we didn’t need anyways. Our couch and chairs we got lightly used on Facebook market place and they served us well for the time we lived at that apartment and our next. We ended up reselling them about a year and a half later when we moved into the house we are in now. Not everything has to be refurbished or used but if you can save a few hundred bucks, then why not try it?&nbsp;5.) DO IT YOURSELFWe’ve been trying to fix things ourselves. If you own your own house or car, try fixing the little things before calling a mechanic or a repairman. Youtube has everything nowadays. You’ll literally save money while learning a skill you can use for the rest of your life. You can also do this with other things like furniture or clothes. You can fix them or upscale them a bit.&nbsp;6.) Coffee&nbsp;If you’re like me and you love coffee, you definitely should look into learning to make coffee from home. A lot of people get a coffee every day on their way to work. This adds up and will cost you around $1,000 a year. At that point, you’re better off getting up 10 minutes early and brewing your own coffee at home, you can then get really good coffee and it’s cheaper.&nbsp;7.) Hair Maintenance&nbsp;People spend thousands of dollars every year on their hair!! This is crazy. You can spend next to nothing learning how to care for your hair from home. My wife cuts my hair and I assist her in cutting hers. She also dyes it from home. Youtube, again, has everything.
