Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs

The Queen is a true example of a negative character – jealous, vindictive, selfish and cold. She is very arrogant and will do anything to get what she set her mind to, even if it requires human sacrifice.

Jealous of Snow White's beauty, the wicked queen orders the murder of her innocent stepdaughter, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Disguising herself as a hag, the queen brings a poisoned apple to Snow White, who falls into a death-like sleep that can be broken only by a kiss from the prince.

The evil queen wants Snow White dead as she cannot accept the fact she is not the most beautiful woman in the kingdom. This vanity destroys her in the end.

Vanity - inflated pride in oneself or one's appearance. Usually viewed as a negative, it is one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

The framework of the deadly sins is used to help people curb their evil inclinations before they can fester, with specific focus on pride and greed, thought to be the sins that sever the soul from grace, the very essence of evil, with these two underlying all other sins.
