Origin of The term "Bandwagon " refers to the band through a parade.

The Bandwagon effect is a Psychological Phenomenon in which people do something primarily because other people are doing it regardless of their own belief which they may ignore or override.

This tendency of people to align their beliefs and behaviors with those of a group is also called Herd Mentality.

One example of the bandwagon effect is that when people see a comment on social media that received a lot of likes or upvotes, they become more likely to upvote it themself.
