Subjects: The Major Intellectual Areas

If we would want to learn everything under the sun, every subject of the world, would it be feasible? Can we learn all the physics, history, philosophy, and even all the languages, which are countless?

The typical major subjects that are taught by universities is a flawed starting point, but still feasible, especially if one is only looking for professional success. It is also advisable to have a narrower specialization. Being the best chef, accountant or philosopher is more useful than having tit-bits of knowledge about everything.

Tips For Learning More

  1. Many big courses by top universities are viewable online. Many of them are downloadable and/or have audio versions(in Apps like Audible) that help grasp the subject.
  2. Textbooks help us get the gist of the subject and most have a high standard of rigour and discipline.
  3. Studying art and other subjects(coding anyone?) require regular practice. Knowing and doing is also intertwined in some subjects like Math.
