One of the few common enemies that we all have when wanting to be productive whether studying, working or creating something new, turns out to be procrastination. For this reason, in this post I will explain what it is and how we can be less prone to it.

Before we begin to provide possible solutions to procrastination, we need to know what it is and why it occurs. For this reason, we could start by saying that procrastination consists of deliberately stopping doing an activity because we have the belief that it is not pleasant.
On the other hand, one of its possible causes is the lack of specificity of the activity. Actually, we want not to carry out an activity for a long time because in our head we see it in fog, we have an idea that it exists, but not of its details.

If we study that definition more carefully, we would highlight the word belief , since when one thinks about something, it is often wrong.
Therefore, one of the ways in which we could stop procrastination is by writing down the reasons why the task does not seem pleasant to us. Once we write that down, what will surely happen is that that belief will be reaffirmed. However, there will be cases in which in this way it will be possible to avoid procrastination.

If when asking ourselves why the task does not seem pleasant to us, in fact, that feeling of lack of pleasure is "justified", perhaps the reason why we do not want to do what we should is that we do not even know what exactly is that we have to do, and we only have a vague notion of what it is all about.
