EFT tapping to heal anxiety, fear & emotional pain on your own

  • EFT = Emotional Freedom Technique, or simply "tapping."
  • "is based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology," - - Jessica Ortner, co-creator of The Tapping Solution App, author of The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss and Body Confidence .
  • According to experts, focusing on a challenge while simultaneously tapping on these acupressure points sends a calming signal to the brain, allowing you to acknowledge the stress, while calming the body.

Does EFT tapping work? How?

Does it work?

  • EFT has been shown to relieve anxiety and depression; help with academic performance; minimize food cravings and alleviate fears like doctor visits, public speaking, even childbirth.
  • It has even been used with great success among those with PTSD.

How?

  • Tapping works because there is a physical and mental focus.
  • Also, the ritualized process of tapping is meditative, which can be useful to those who feel they can't meditate.
  • A practitioner is not needed to do it. Unlike acupuncture or massage, this is a technique you are encouraged to do on your own, ideally with the help of an app.

  • Identify the intensity of the physical discomfort on a scale of 1-10.

3. Identify the 9 meridian points:

  • side of the hand
  • yebrows
  • temple
  • under the eye
