Writer’s Block is Real

Overcoming Writer's Block

Overcoming Writer's Block

  • Audit your time. Make a log of the time you spend on Facebook, WhatsApp and phone calls. You could use some of this time to write. Tell yourself you will only write for 5 minutes.
  • Make a writing schedule. Write every day at the same time.
  • Use your waiting time, for example, waiting at the doctor's office, waiting when picking up the kids, etc.
  • Mix it up. Book, Blog post, Topics. This will keep you interested in writing.
  • Don't edit while writing.
  • Make a writing log of your word count to encourage you to write more.
  • Join a writing club.
  • Join writing challenges.
  • Read a lot.
