Extraordinary results are directly determined by how narrow you can make your focus.

You need to be doing fewer things for more effect instead of doing more things with side effects.

The Domino Effect

The Domino Effect

Getting extraordinary results is all about creating a domino effect in your life.

The key is over time. Success is built sequentially. It’s one thing at a time.

A study to consider

A study to consider

An 11-year study of nearly 7,100 British civil servants concluded that habitual long hours can be deadly.

Researchers showed that individuals who worked more than 11 hours a day (a 55-plus hour workweek) were 67 percent more likely to suffer from heart disease.

Counterbalancing is not only about your sense of well-being, it’s essential to your being well.

148

Do not overwork.

Do not overwork.

it’s not about how much overtime you put in; the key ingredient is focused time over time.

To achieve an extraordinary result you must choose what matters most and give it all the time it demands.

1#The Mind Is Like A Phone Battery

1#The Mind Is Like A Phone Battery

We all have a gauge of will power that is full as we start the day and depletes itself as we go through different tasks during the day.

Sometimes our problems seem unsolvable whereas we just depleted our "mind battery 🔋" and in that situation even the smallest issues or tasks become extremely difficult.

20

Now, What Can We Do About That ?

Now, What Can We Do About That ?

First things first, we should start the day with the most important task while our battery is at the fullest. Then we can move to the other tasks of the day.

However, we must keep in mind that our tasks aren't equal in importance. Subsequently, we have to establish 2 lists :

  • One of all the tasks that deplete our battery but doesn't add much to our lives
  • And one of all the activities that reload our battery

20

Assessing The Importance Of Your Tasks

Assessing The Importance Of Your Tasks

  • Some of your tasks are important but take too much of your time while having to little output (like doing groceries, cooking, cleaning...). Those tasks should all be delegated one way or another unless it's your passion.
  • Other tasks are completely useless but we still keep doing them to feel productive but doing even 100 of them won't ever equal doing 1 important task, so just get them out of your mind and time.

Slowly implementing new habits can change your life.

The Importance Of Habits

The Importance Of Habits

Success is actually a short race — a sprint fueled by discipline just long enough for habit to kick in and take over. —Gary Keller

Goal

Low goals don't require extraordinary actions so they rarely lead to extraordinary results. - The one thing.

Perseverance

Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another. - Walter Elliot

Don't break the chain.

HOW TO START BIG THINGS ?

  • Go small.
  • Go extreme.
  • Say no.
  • Dont get trapped in the check off game.

Four Thieves Of Productivity

  1. Inability to Say "No"
  2. Fear of Chaos
  3. Poor Health Habits
  4. Envuronment Doesn't Support Your Goals.

The idea is to focus on 1 thing rather have 2 or more just do it for 1 week and you've find out by yourself

"Success is Built Sequentially. It's One Thing at a time."

Generally, we speak of failures as a steppingstone, but fail to understand the mapping of the sequence of failure once we succeed. Eventually, tracking the failure timeline will give you fundamental understanding of sequential success (how one after other failure led you closer to the success).
