The Beginning of a Mentoring Relationship

Starting a mentoring relationship can be nerve-wracking and awkward at first but don't let your fears hinder you from achieving your goals. In order to start a mentoring relationship you must have the following:

1. Clarity about what you want. When goals are crystal clear, you're more committed to doing what's necessary.
2. Contacts to start meeting people. Look for potential mentors and jot down into a notebook and save their contact details and reach out to one or two at a time and ask for an informational meeting.
