Do your homework

Before the interview, make sure you know about not only the job description but the company itself.

Do an audit of your personality traits that match, and your skills that match.

MORE IDEAS FROM How to Answer the Question, “Tell Me About Yourself”

Skip the useless information

Sometimes interviews are personality tests. The recruiters want to get a sense of what drives you, what motivates you. But the interviewer has a lot of details and doesn't know which one to focus on.

Try not to spend time talking about what you're not. Avoid saying "I'm this, but I'm not really that, and I'm not really that." What you're not is sort of useless information to the interviewer.

Effective practice is about training your mind and your mouth to work in concert.

Just several times, try to practice getting those ideas you've prepared for the interview out together in a very confident, clear, and simple way.. You don't need an actual audience, a simple practice in front of the mirror works just fine.

Making Reversible Or Fixable Decisions Fast

You don't need to make the perfect decision all the time, and if you want to preserve your decision-making energy for the things that actually matter, then try to make decisions that are not critical (e. g. deciding what toothpaste and toilet paper to buy or which Airbnb to rent) as quickly as possible.

If they are reversible (easily undone - like being able to get a refund for something or being able to buy another cheap item) even if they seem like big decisions, making these decisions quickly is a habit worth cultivating, that will save you a lot of energy so that you are more perceptive for the decisions where the stakes are higher.

Everything you are capable of doing in this world is inside the comfort zone or outside the comfort zone. Things inside the comfort zone are easy for you to do. They take little to no effort to do, there is no mental resistance holding you back. Things outside the comfort zone are facing a lot of mental resistance before we actually try to do that thing.
