ইউসুফ (আ:) এর সময়কার শাসনকর্তাকে কুরআনে বলা হয়েছে রাজা, আর মুসা (আঃ) এর সময়কার শাসনকর্তাকে বলা হয়েছে ফেরাউন।
বাইবেলে ইউসুফ (আ:) এবং মুসা (আঃ) দুই সময়ের শাসনকর্তাকেই ফেরাউন বলা হয়েছে। যেটা পরবর্তীতে সংশোধন করা হয়েছে যখন Rosetta Stone থেকে হায়ারোগ্লিফিক্সের মানে বের করা হয়েছে। ইউসুফ (আ:) এর সময়ে ফেরাউনের ডাইনেস্টি তখনও আসেনি।
