  • Education for children in Bhutan is publicly funded till 10th standard after which only students who manage to pass their board examinations will be sponsored in higher secondary school.
  • Students who are not selected for government-funded further education can continue their studies in private higher secondary schools or do vocational training in private training institutes, both of which are, of course, more cost-intensive.
