When someone on your team makes a mistake, it can be difficult not to jump in and solve it for them. But that's not going to help them or the company in the long run.

Use those mistakes as opportunities for teaching, and building trust and loyalty:

• Share instances where you made similar mistakes
• Help them figure out a solution on their own
• Build them up and assure them you've got their back
