In the last decade, social media apps like Twitter and Facebook ensure that millennials can easily show off their staying home antics to other people who are also staying at home, making it a virtual house party.

• Check on each other. Who has reached out to you? Whom have you reached out to?
• Organize or join a meaningful virtual group to keep you social, active, and accountable. Parents should talk to other parents. Children should talk to other children.

Phubbing is meant to connect you, presumably, with someone through social media or texting. But it actually can severely disrupt your present-moment, in-person relationships and in the end makes you feel even less connected.
