According to Primacy,You remember more the beginning of anything you have learned.

In Recency,You remember end things you have learned.

For example,If you went to a party and met 30 strangers.You are more likely to remember the first few and last ones!

So whenever you read a book,Use this technique.As there shall be more primacy and recency,You will remember more!
