HAVE YOU EVER FELT THIS FEELING?

HAVE YOU EVER FELT THIS FEELING?

A strange sense of tranquility, a feeling of peace within, the awareness of being in the moment, I don't know what it's called...but this feeling comes and goes and when it stays, we want that state of awareness to stay forever. LET'S CALL IT 'THE JOY OF BEING PRESENT IN THE MOMENT.' With ZERO thoughts about the past and the future. Just being in the now. Right now! Totally focused on the moment.

IT'S AN AMAZING FEELING

IT'S AN AMAZING FEELING

You realize that the moment is silent, calm, a whole different world or the "REAL WORLD".

All of this while, we were living inside of our heads, in a world that is non-existant, a world that is full of noise, chaos, confusion, worries. Dwindling in the past or the future. But once we start living in the real world, the silent moment of "Being in the moment", that's mindfulness.

REMEMBER OUR CHILDHOOD DAYS?

REMEMBER OUR CHILDHOOD DAYS?

You know, this feeling of BEING IN THE MOMENT was very strong during our childhood days. Fewer worries. More focus on the now, in fact, we had mastered the art of mindfulness when we were young. Remember how much we felt the slightest tinge of happiness even while gazing at the blue sky, how much excited we felt jumping over the puddles during the rainy days, or getting up after a really bad fall and playing football forgetting all our pain and bruises behind.

The word 'loneliness' was nonexistent

The word 'loneliness' was nonexistent

The word 'loneliness' was nonexistent. However 'solitude' was something which we definitely enjoyed. Awareness! Isn't it true? As we grow up, we forget the inner child within us. We start seeking companionship in others before finding the companionship in ourselves FIRST! We fear being alone because we think being alone is equivalent to being lonely and being lonely is equivalent to becoming lost in the past or the future.

So how to enjoy "solitude" and practice being in the moment?

So how to enjoy "solitude" and practice being in the moment?

  1. Take a step back from social media. Yup, a social media detox is a must!
  2. Become mindful about the things that you feed your brain. Remember you become what you feed your mind. Try to avoid reading stuff that brings in negativity like reading or watching the news first thing in the morning.
  3. Exercise! Run, play outdoors, let your body move!
  4. Talk out to your beloved ones.
  5. Listen or even dance to your favourite music
  6. Eat your favourite chocolate! You can reward yourself with your favourite food once you complete your task of the day!
  7. Journal and write down the things that you are grateful for.

The list goes endless..

The list goes endless..

I can list down n number of ideas....BUT TO SUM THAT UP....DO THE THING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY! YES, YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! IF THERE WAS AN UNFINISHED ARTWORK, FINISH IT NOW! If there was someone whom you've felt talking to for a long time, go ahead, reach out to them!

In short, when you work towards your happiness, you work towards bringing yourself back to the present moment.

Because happiness lives in the Now! And so do you! So now if I ask you to rate yourself from 1 to 5...It must definitely be a 5 on 5!

HIGH 5!

This app is LOADED with RELEVANT, HELPFUL, AND EDUCATIONAL material. It is creatively intellectual, yet minimal enough to not overstimulate and create a learning block. I am exceptionally impressed with this app!
