• Used to describe the act of concentrating, focusing, or "zoning in."
• Memes showing an expressive face followed by a more serious "locked in" face grew popular circa 2023.

Example: When the barber gets to your hairline so you gotta lock in. 🗿

Noise of failure or mocking someone who's experienced something inconvenient. 

It is a sarcastic response to someone else's disappointment, complaints, or failure.

“I’m him” is a slang way to express confidence.

Here, “him” just means “that guy,” or someone to watch out for or regard with respect.

when using it in the first context, it is with the purpose of taunting men who are trying to achieve something, especially if they have a cocky attitude while doing it but aren't successful in doing so. 

• It's a phrase used to express confusion, disbelief or bemusement, particularly in response to someone displaying behaviors or attitudes that align with the sigma male archetypes - or when someone takes the concept too seriously. 
• A tongue-in-cheek way of questioning or mocking the idea of being a sigma male, often in a situation where someone is acting in a way that seems overtly pretentious. 

Example:

bro 1 - "I don't need anyone. I'm sigma, I walk my own path."

bro 2- "Erm, what the sigma? Dude you just said that to avoid helping with the group project!"

• ‘Tweaking’ is a term in rap and hip-hop culture to refer to someone high on stimulants.
• It can even be used to define someone who is acting irrationally or saying something stupid.

Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers, or CHUD is a slang term used online that generally refers to a dislikeable person.

• A chud is also someone who exists far outside social norms, and not in a good way.
• Starting in 2020, the term spawned the Chudjak, Avatar Chud, and GigaChud memes as it was increasingly connected with the alt-right.

Aura is a slang term that was popularized online in 2023 and 2024, often used to compliment men for their charisma or presence.

• The term first grew prevalent in soccer and basketball communities on X / Twitter, likely due to people commending Liverpool player Van Dijk for his "aura."
• Jokes about gaining and losing "aura points" also notably spread on TikTok in May 2024.

A sneaky link is someone you’re seeing or hooking up with discreetly.

The “sneaky” part is pretty self-explanatory, and the “link” part comes from the phrase “link up” (meaning “get together”).

• A sneaky link relationship can exist between two single people who don’t want others to know about their hookups, or the term can refer to someone who’s cheating on their partner with a secret person. 
• Sneaky links are like extreme versions of friends with benefits (FWB).

An AAVE (African American Vernacular English) slang term, that defines a reckless individual who seeks altercations.

• Crashouts repeatedly jeopardize their body, life and future because they don't care about the consequences, implying that they're already broken.
• "Crash out" is also used as a verb to describe the outbursts. Crashouts are portrayed in videos and memes as unstable, often ruining events and activities with aggressive behavior.

Down Bad is a slang term used as a euphemism for horny, specifically in a desperate or depressed manner.

The word "bad" is sometimes replaced with an exaggerated adjective, such as "down atrocious" or "down abominable."

Touch Grass, or Touch Some Grass, is a popular online insult and alternative way of telling someone to "go outside," implying they're spending too much time online and it's affecting their wellbeing.
