Phlebotomy: What is done?

Steps-

  1. Patient will sit in a chair or lie down.
  2. Technician will ask patient to make a fist with his hand.
  3. Then they’ll tie a band, called a tourniquet, around the upper arm. (This makes the veins pop out a little more, which will make it easier to insert the needle in the right place.)
  4. Patient may feel a pinch or sting when the needle goes into the arm.
  5. The needle is attached to a small tube that lets the blood flow into a test tube or bag.
  6. The process usually takes just a few minutes.

This app is LOADED with RELEVANT, HELPFUL, AND EDUCATIONAL material. It is creatively intellectual, yet minimal enough to not overstimulate and create a learning block. I am exceptionally impressed with this app!
