There is a way to train your focus, which will improve your performance. This can be done by:
Set a Daily Highlight, in which you do an activity that will make some progress towards your goals
Each morning, block certain amount of hours (preferably at the same time) to do some amount of deep work
Doing shallow work (e.g., replying to emails) all day, is not as satisfying as knowing you made some progress (having deep work hours)
