Historical Notes: Why Filipinos Love Music So Much

The Filipinos' preference for a sense of community is evident in their Filipino music

A Western singer could jump from "mi" to "fa" in 1 step--a jump too big for a traditional Filipino singer. They would instead sing every note that lies between "mi" and "fa"--notes Westerners didn't even know existed resulting to the hagod style of singing,in which the singer seems to caress every note.
