Acquaintances, Open-mindedness, Spotting

  1. Widen your acquaintances. They increase luck.
  2. Diversify your life. Open more windows
  3. Be able to spot some small spurts of opportunities. Like Alexander Fleming's relation with penicillin.

MORE IDEAS FROM How Luck Happens

Avoiding Bad Luck

You van avoid badluck by doing 1 common-sense-thing: look for the likely bad lucks. Shark won't eat you today, check the traffic, ride safe, wear belt, helmet; so you don't have the excuse to say "It hapened cuz I have bad luck"

Have a chancy luck!

Luck Can Be Controlled

Luck consists of 2 things-chance, and Talent and hardwork. You can't control chance but you can control talent an hardwork. Like when someone asks you why can't you become a coder? It will be foolish to say you can't because you don't have luck, on the other side, you actually dont know even the C of C++.

Persistence, Right Placing, And Anisothinking
  1. Be persistent to have luck. To it again and again and again and again. Until dormamu doesnt agree to exit your world (doctor strange).
  2. Be in the places where luck is high. You won't stand in the end of the line, if apple's are given in the front only, would you?
  3. Well, many people can do the above 2 but what you can do is doing things differently. Stand out of the crowd for increasing luck. stand alone to stand apart.

Lucky Love

You can be lucky in love by being at the right places. You can do that by some logical reasoning like you are more probable to find a partner in a wedding having 125 people rather than football match having 20000 people's crowd.

Luck is a perceptual bias

In other people, we focus on the successful result, not the struggle and growth experiences they endured to reach it, while in ourselves, all we’re aware of is the struggle we endure and not the success that is readily apparent to others.

The story of Lila

Lila: An Inquiry into Morals (1991) is a continuation of Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (1974). Phaedrus, the author's alter ego, spends his days on a boat working on philosophy. He meets Lila in a bar, has a one-night stand with her. A common friend challenges Phaedrus to explain why a woman like Lila has value.

This question and the events that follow serve as the background for Pirsing to describe The Metaphysics of Quality as a theory of reality: incorporating Sophism, East Asian & indigenous American philosophy.
