Not everything should be a matter of choice
Too much choice has two negative effects on people:
- Paradoxically, it produces paralysis rather than liberation. Too many options, and people find it very difficult to choose at all.
- Even if we overcome the paralysis and make a choice, we end up less satisfied with the result of our selection than if we had fewer options. It's easy to imagine that a different choice would've been better.
