Our bodies naturally produce a range of chemical products called free radicals as a consequence of typical metabolic processes.To deal with these reactive species, our bodies also produce enzymes with antioxidant properties, like superoxide dismutase. But our environment can also be a source of free radicals. Absorbing pollutants, including cigarette smoke and toxic metals, can overwhelm our bodies' home-grown defenses and increase oxidative damage.

1. You MUST respect the other person.2. You MUST compromise. Little ones and big ones.3. You MUST talk openly. Communication is critical.Look at these three things and make sure you have them in your relationship before you contemplate either move.

3 Critical Points of a Successful Marriage/Relationship:

"Do you respect that person?" You don't need to be married to find out if you respect that person, that should be something that you should establish. You should ask yourself about the partner that you're with, "Do they respect me? or they only respect me when I wear the right clothing? The right make up on? or they're nice to me?" But being nice to someone does not mean you respect them, test that out, push a bit.Find out if someone respect you even if you differ with them on things. Again, you don't need to be married or living tigether to try that out.

1. Respect

If all you have done in your relationship is he calls you up and says, "Let's go to dinner." Then, you'll asked where you want to go. He'll said, "I chose last time you choose this time." And you'll agree.You should try a night where each of you picks a place, and the other one is force to go to the one they don't like. The example above is not compromising, it's a practice of being nice with each other. The advice Mitch said was the perfect example of experimenting with compromising. Again, you don't need to be married or live together to try that out.

2.  Compromise

Ask each other about:a. what would you do when you're married?b. How would you live if you are married?c. How would you raise your children?d. What religion would you raise your children?e. How often would you go to church?f. Public or private school would you like to put in your children?g. Where you would like to live cities or provinces?h. Do you enjoy traveling or stay inside the house?i. How important is it to you be close with your family when you're married?j. How important is money to you?k. Episode 132 - Living Together Before Marriage?

Whether stranded in the woods, the mountains, or on a deserted island, the first thing to do is to signal for rescue.<ul><li>Use your resources to signal any ships or planes that might pass by.</li><li> If no-one comes, take steps to avoid injury. Your feet are the most important and vulnerable tools for survival. Boots can protect you from cutting your feet as you explore.</li><li>Find fresh water. Humans can't live without water for more than ten days. You need at least 1 litre of water per day to survive. If you have to choose between dehydration and unfiltered water, take your chances with the water.</li></ul>

What to do if you’re stranded in the wilderness

<ul><li>If you're close to the sea, you can convert salt water to fresh. Fill a can with salt water, then put a second container over the can. This will collect the freshwater that evaporates out of the can.</li><li>Look for signs of life such as vegetation, birds, and insects. It can all mean you are nearby water sources.</li><li>Roots, vegetables and cacti all contain water. Mashing them with a rock will release some liquid.</li><li>Water flows downhill, so check low-terrain canyons and mountain basis for a water source.</li><li>Morning dew can be collected with a cloth before sunrise and then wrung out.</li></ul>

Finding water

Fish juices, blood, alcohol, seawater and urine will dehydrate you, which is the opposite of what you want. It can also trigger low blood pressure, which can damage vital organs like your heart, lungs, and kidneys.

What not to drink

<ul><li>Create a dry patch of ground about 4 feet wide. Build a ring of rocks or dig down a few inches to keep the fire insulated. </li><li>Then use paper, dry grass or pine needles as tinder. Pile loosely in the centre and top with kindling. If the kindling isn’t dry enough, you will need more tinder.</li><li>If you have a lighter or matches, ignite the tinder and gently blow on the fire. If you don’t have a lighter, you need to use friction to create an ember or can use a lens to harness the sun’s light. </li><li>Once you have a healthy flame, arrange firewood in a tepee shape. Ensure to keep feeding your fire.</li></ul>

Know how to build a fire

It’s impossible to drown in quicksand because humans will float in it. However, once disturbed, quicksand becomes more viscous, trapping whatever it develops.  To get out, wiggle your legs to create a pocket for water to trickle down. This will loosen the sand around your legs. Then lay back. The more you distribute your weight across the surface, the harder it will be to sink. Then use a backstroke to propel yourself backwards. When you reach solid ground, roll away from the quicksand.

Quicksand

Snakes will avoid you, but if you happen to get bitten by venomous snakes, don’t try to suck the venom out as it is delivered straight to your bloodstream and could further infect the wound. Instead, hold the bitten limb below the heart level to prevent the venom from reaching your heart.

Wildlife dangers

<ul><li>If the bear hasn’t seen you, slowly backstep yourself out of the situation.</li><li>If the bear does see you, the bear is probably more afraid of you and will take off on its own.</li><li>If you are attacked, don’t run. Make yourself look big. Scream and act crazy.</li><li>In the event of an attack by a black bear, you should fight for your life.</li><li>The best chance of survival agains a grizzly bear is to curl up in a ball and play dead. Protect your head and neck, and hold on. The bear will end up leaving and moving on. When you know the animal has moved off into the underbrush, quietly get up and seek medical attention.</li></ul>

As a child, you naturally had intense feelings, as this is how all children are wired. Exuberant one moment, intensely frustrated the next, you needed someone to teach you how to understand and manage your emotions. But what you got instead was a covert message that your emotions were excessive. What you learned was to dampen your feelings, not the skills you needed to manage them.

1. It’s not good to be too happy or too sad.

As a child, you naturally felt upset when things upset you. You naturally felt angry when you were hurt. What you needed was to have your upset feelings soothed by a loving parent so that you could learn how to soothe yourself. But what you got was a message that your feelings were a weakness. What you learned was to judge yourself for having them.

2. You are overly sensitive.

As a child, you had needs, just as all children do. You had things that felt important to you, and things that felt good or bad to you. What you needed was for someone to notice, or to ask what you needed or wanted, so that you would feel that you mattered. When no one asked you enough, you learned instead that you don’t.

3. Your needs and preferences are irrelevant.

Growing up, you had problems with school, siblings, and friends. What you needed was to know that you could talk to a parent, but instead, you knew that they, for whatever reason, could not handle it. What you learned was that others couldn’t handle your problems, so you’d best keep it to yourself.

4. Talking about a problem will unnecessarily burden other people.

All humans cry, and for a reason. Crying is a way to release and process your emotions. As a child, you cried sometimes (maybe often). What you needed was for this to be okay. Instead, your family didn’t know that crying has a purpose, so they ignored your tears or shamed you for having them. Perhaps they never showed tears themselves. You learned that crying is negative and should be avoided.

5. Crying is a weakness.

Were you judged for showing feelings in your childhood home? This powerful message has been carried forth with you. “Hide your emotions from others” is the message, “or others will think less of you.” Or worse, they will use your feelings against you.

6. Others will judge you for showing your feelings.

As a child, of course, you often felt angry, as this feeling is a natural part of life. As a child, what you needed was a help to name, understand and manage your anger. Perhaps instead your anger was squelched or overwhelmed by another’s. Maybe you were punished for showing it. What you learned was that anger is bad and that you should suppress it.

7. Anger is a negative emotion and should be avoided.

Children need help, period. So do adolescents and adults. As a child, you needed support, direction, suggestions, and assistance. But you could see that your parents were not up to that. What you learned was that it is best not to ask for help in general because you are setting yourself up for a letdown.

8. Relying on another is setting yourself up for disappointment.

As a young child, you had endless wonder at the world around you. As you grew, you had endless things that you wanted and needed to ask and say. Yet talking was not valued in your family and you were not asked or listened to enough. What you learned is that your questions and words are not valuable and that you should keep them to yourself.

9. Others are not interested in what you have to say.

As a child, you needed to feel that an adult had your back; that no matter what happened, there was support and help for you. Instead, when you needed something you discovered that your adult(s) were busy, overwhelmed, or not aware. What you learned was that you were all alone.

10. You are alone in the world.

These lessons all seem so real and so true when you grew up receiving them in such a subliminal, global way. But do not forget that they are merely lessons of your family, not truths. The fact that you learned them does not make them right.

Summary

Your past, no matter how bad it was, does not define your future. The choices and actions you make today will ultimately define who you will eventually become. Make the decision to learn from your past and apply it in the present so that you can live the life that you were meant to live. You deserve it!

Many of you can probably identify the Hunter's Belt, those three-stars-in-a-row. in the southwestern sky if you are in the Northern Hemisphere or the northwestern sky if you are in the Southern Hemisphere.

Location: Orion

[Quick History]: As one of the oldest recognized constellations, it has mythologies dating back to the early Bronze Age. There are several Greek myths involving Taurus. Two of them include Zeus, who either disguised himself as a bull or disguised his mistress as a bull in multiple escapades of infidelity. Another myth has the bull being the 7th labor of Hercules after the beast wreaked havoc in the countryside

Taurus - Bull 

[Location]: In the southern sky during winter months for observers in the northern hemisphere. To find Taurus use the Orion's belt asterism. Taurus is north-east of Orion and if you follow the line of the best you will find the cluster of bright stars that form the face of the bull.

[Quick History]: In Greek mythology, Aries is the ram whose fleece became the Golden Fleece. The Golden Fleece is a symbol of kingship and authority, and plays a significant role in the tale of Jason and the Argonauts. Jason is sent to find the fleece in order to rightfully claim his throne as king, and with some help from Medea (his future wife), finds his prize. It’s one of the oldest stories in antiquity, and was current in Homer’s time.

Aries - Ram

[Location]: In the Northern Hemisphere between Pisces to its west and Taurus to its east. The best view of Aries occurs on December nights around 9 p.m. local time. Alpha, Beta and Gamma Arietis are the three brightest stars within the Aries constellation

[Quick History]: There are a variety of myths associated with the scorpion, almost all of them involving Orion the hunter. Orion once boasted that he could kill all the animals on the earth. He encountered the scorpion, and after a long, fierce fight, Orion was defeated. It was such a hard-fought battle that it caught the eye of Zeus, and the scorpion was raised to the night sky for all eternity.

Scorpius - Scorpion 

[Location]: Easily found looking south toward the Milky Way and following it upward. It is easiest to find Scorpius by looking for what looks like a fish hooks of bright stars. At the center of this hook is what visually looks like a bright red star.---[Q&A]----------------------------------Ques: Where is Scorpius in relation to Orion? Ans: The two constellations lie opposite each other in the sky, and Orion is said to be fleeing from the scorpion as it sets just as Scorpius rises.
