Digital vs Paper Notes

Digital vs Paper Notes

  1. Notes written on paper take effort and so you remember them for longer
  2. Digital notes are more organized
  3. Notes written on paper helps reduce distraction whereas digital note-taking can distract you
  4. Notes written on paper give you writing practice and it does not affect your eyes
  5. Digital notes could be taken easily in class. You could add diagrams, figures, tables, etc.

In the nutshell, you can balance between the two. Take notes digitally in class and write and practice them for exams, don't just read. Make PDFs of the notes taken on paper so that you don't lose them.
