We need a strong will to push ourselves, to succeed. It comes from a strong character. I lacked character. So I externalized my need for help.

Success is a lot of hard work, we are not ready for this sacrifice. We want someone to give it to us.

We think the world is out to get us, so we expect someone to rescue us.

We don't take responsibility or action since we are afraid of failure.

If things don't work out we can easily blame the messiah.

We love excuses - family background, conditioning, not having money, etc. It justifies our failures, not having a messiah is another excuse.
