The reason we are often afraid to say certain things or act in certain ways is because we’re afraid of others reacting negatively. This fear often leads to small talk and results in conversations that truly don’t matter.
If you don’t really filter yourself in a conversation and say what actually matters to you with no regard to how strange it is, others will perceive you as someone who doesn’t care about society and as such will feel safer to tell you things they’d been bottling up.
