Như thế nào, gọi là bản chất vạn vật “như nó là”?

Aloha Tuấn: Ông đang hiểu sai giữa “mong cầu” & “khát vọng” rồi đó. Cái mà ông đang muốn hỏi Ta là “khát vọng” chứ không phải gọi là “mong cầu”. Mong cầu tạo ra đau khổ, nhưng khát vọng thì không.Hỏi: Nó khác nhau chỗ nào?Aloha Tuấn: Sự khác nhau căn bản nằm ở 2 chữ: Niềm tinMong cầu = Ý niệm mong muốn + không có niềm tin vào điều mình muốn.Khát vọng = Ý niệm mong muốn + có niềm tin mãnh liệt vào điều mình muốn.

Mong cầu & Khát vọng

Khổ đau đến từ bản ngã thô trược. Bản ngã thô trược được hình thành chủ yếu bởi chính một cái Tâm Trí thường xuyên so sánh, đối chiếu. Và mong cầu được thoả mãn. Sự so sánh, đối chiếu sẽ tạo ra cảm giác của sự hơn thua. Sự so sánh, làm chính ông muốn được sự tôn vinh hoặc tôn trọng. Và khi người khác không tôn trọng ông, ông cảm thấy sự tổn thương. Cái tổn thương nó đến từ việc không thoả mãn được bản ngã.

Nguồn gốc khổ đau

“Bản ngã tiêu cực” luôn có những lề lối, nết tư duy và suy tưởng tiêu cực. Bản ngã tiêu cực, thường xuyên kiểm soát Tâm Trí và sản sinh ra các ý niệm tiêu cực về cuộc sống.“Bản ngã tích cực” nó luôn chối bỏ cái tiêu cực, và mong muốn những điều tốt đẹp được diễn ra với chính nó. Bản ngã tích cực, kiểm soát và giành giật lại Tâm Trí từ “bản ngã tiêu cực” và sản sinh ra các ý niệm tích cực về cuộc sống.“Bản ngã tiêu cực” nó rất sợ người khác bắt bài nó. Nó sẽ tìm mọi cách để che đậy cái bộ mặt thật của chính nó. Và ông rất ngại việc đối diện với những điều tiêu cực diễn ra trong Tâm Trí của ông.

Bản ngã

Bản chất của việc tu hành không phải là triệt phá bản ngã mà là: "Sự thấu hiểu”. Chính sự thấu hiểu về bản ngã, cách nó sinh khởi, hoạt động và vận hành. Thấu hiểu từ những thành tố cấu tạo nên bản ngã. Chính “sự thấu hiểu trọn vẹn” mới giúp ông vượt ra ngoài tất cả. “Bản ngã” sinh ra là để chính ông học hỏi và trưởng thành từ sự sinh ra của nó. Ông phải thật lắng tâm lắng nghe, quan sát, thấu hiểu cái bản ngã của chính ông. Và khi ông đã thấu hiểu trọn vẹn về chính nó thì bản ngã tự động tiêu biến hoàn toàn.

Thấu hiểu bản ngã

Thực hành việc quan sát nội tâm của chính mình. Ý thức được mọi sinh khởi và hiện diện trong Tâm Trí và tự vấn chính mình: “Những sự sinh khởi tạp niệm này đến từ đâu? Vì sao nó xuất hiện”. Quá trình quan sát Tâm Trí và tự vấn đó sẽ giúp ta thấu hiểu sâu sắc những nguyên nhân hình thành.

Quan sát nội tâm

“Vô” nghĩa là không. “Minh” nghĩa là sự sáng suốt của Trí. Vậy “Vô minh” nghĩa là sự ngu dốt, thiếu hiểu biết, hoặc quá động loạn của Trí. Một cách cụ thể hơn nữa cho sự Vô minh, đó chính là: Sự động loạn của Tâm Trí. Chính sự động loạn này, làm thoái hoá đi “Sự thấu hiểu”. Tâm Trí chạy theo tạp niệm, suy tưởng miên man không ngừng, dục vọng nổi lên không có sự kiểm soát của Ý thức. Đó chính là Vô minh.

Vô minh là gì?

“Cái điện thoại này” của Ta, chứ nó không phải là Ta. “Cái nhà này” của Ta, chứ nó không phải là Ta. “Chiếc xe này” của Ta, chứ nó không phải là Ta. “Thân xác này của Ta, chứ nó cũng không phải là Ta. “Trí này của Ta, chứ Trí đó cũng không phải là Ta.“Tâm này của Ta, chứ Tâm đó cũng không phải là Ta“Cảm xúc này hiện diện trong Tâm Trí của Ta, chứ Cảm xúc đó cũng không phải là Ta”.

7 Cool Brain Facts That Neuroscientists Know

We hear voices and meaning from air pressure waves. We see colours and objects, yet our brain only receives signals about reflected photons. The objects we perceive are a construct of the brain, which is why optical illusions can fool the brain.

1. Perceptual reality is entirely generated by our brain

We think we see the whole world, but we are looking through a narrow visual portal onto a small region of space. You have to move your eyes when you read because most of the page is blurry. We don't see this, because as soon as we become curious about part of the world, our eyes move there to fill in the detail before we see it was missing. While our eyes are in motion, we should see a blank blur, but our brain edits this out.

2. We see the world in narrow disjointed fragments

Our brain can be fooled into thinking a rubber arm or a virtual reality hand is actually a part of our body. In one syndrome, people believe one of their limbs does not belong to them. One man thought a cadaver limb had been sewn onto his body as a practical joke by doctors.

3. Body image is dynamic and flexible

even though we think we are controlling it. The fact that we can operate a vehicle at 60 mph on the highway while lost in thought shows just how much behaviour the brain can take care of on its own. Addiction is possible because so much of what we do is already automatic, including directing our goals and desires. In utilization behaviour, people might grab and start using a comb presented to them without having any idea why they are doing it. In impulsivity, people act even though they know they shouldn't.

4. Our behaviour is mostly automatic

In Capgras syndrome, familiar people seem foreign (the opposite of deja vu). One elderly woman who lived alone befriended a woman who appeared to her whenever she looked in a mirror. She thought this other woman looked nothing like herself, except that they seemed to have similar style and tended to wear identical outfits. Another woman was being followed by a tormenter who appeared to her in mirrors but looked nothing like herself. She was fine otherwise.

5. Our brain can fool itself in really strange ways

Our thinking feels fast and we are more intelligent than computers, and yet neurons signal only a few times per second and the brain's beta wave cycles at 14-30 times per second. In comparison, computers cycle at 1 billion operations per second, and transistors switch over 10 billion times per second. How can neurons be so slow and yet we are so smart?

6. Neurons are really slow

In split-brain patients, each side of the brain is individually conscious but mostly separate from the other. In post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), memories of a traumatic event can become a compartmentalized inaccessible island. In schizophrenia, patients hear voices that can seem separate from themselves and which criticize them or issue commands. In hypnosis, post-hypnotic suggestions can direct behavior without the individual's conscious awareness.

7. Consciousness can be subdivided. 

Your body image is dynamic; your neurons are slow; your behavior is automatic, and other neuroscience insights about how you perceive the world.

If you can overcome this fierce enemy, you will be able to accomplish more and in doing so better utilize the potential that life has to offer.

Time is the most valuable commodity you have. It’s not money; unlike time, you can borrow money, save, or earn more. You can’t do that with time. Every single second you waste is gone forever. The mere realization that life is finite leads people to begin managing their time more carefully. It makes you think about how you would ideally like to spend your time on Earth.
